Neue Schule Horse Bits
- Size of bit - The mouthpiece width is the measurement given is the inside of the ring to the inside of the ring across the mouthpiece.
- Ring Size - The measurement given is the inside of the ring top to bottom.
- Thickness - the thickness of the mouthpiece is measured at the widest part near to the ring. The thickness of the bit required is determined by the anatomical needs of your horses mouth. Please be aware that using a too-thick mouthpiece can exert pressure on the sensitive palate and can also cause bruises and injuries.
- Loose Ring bits should not exceed 5mm space between the corners of the mouth and the bit ring on each side. It should also not be too narrow since it must not pinch the corners of the mouth. The Ring should always be able to move freely.

Anatomy-inspired double jointed bit design this Neue Schule Turtle Top with Flex Loose Ring offers enhanced mouthpiece stability, through optimised alignment of the mouthpiece surfaces to the tongue and palate. The Turtle Top™ link is a flattened dome-shaped link that lowers palate pressure and prevents the cannons from being pushed upwards above the link by the horse’s tongue.
The Neue Schule Flex design concept delivers a well-controlled co-alignment of the surfaces of the mouthpiece with the sensitive surfaces of the equine mouth.FlexZ is a development of the Tranz range using gently curved cannons form a wide arch aligned over the tongue and held in shape by Turtle Top™. FlexZ is, therefore, more securely centred on the tongue and more resistant to being pulled through the mouth.
The Loose Ring is an uncomplicated cheek, no matter what your rein tension the mouthpiece alignment to the mouth remains unchanged. The flattened underside of the FlexZ cannons with their anatomy-inspired recesses are held parallel to the tongue whatever riding activity you enjoy. Great for the over-active busy mouth that chews on the mouthpiece. The Turtle Top with Flex keeps the mouthpiece centred and arched over the tongue at all times, safely helping to prevent sideways tongue evasions. This comfortable mouthpiece re-focuses the inattentive mouth back onto the rein aids in order to achieve a soft consistent contact.

Delivery & Returns
We endeavour to post out your goods the same day they are ordered; however, in busy periods this can take a little longer.
UK Orders
- Standard UK delivery is £3.95 or free over £75* excluding non-Mainland, Highlands & Northern Ireland
- UK Mainland orders over £75 receive free delivery*
- UK Mainland Royal Mail Express is £5.95 an expedited tracked service.
- UK Mainland DPD Express Delivery is £5.95. If ordered on a Friday the next working day is Monday, in times of high parcel numbers DPD may deliver this on Saturday. There will be a text and/or email notification sent to let you know when DPD intend to deliver.
- UK Saturday Delivery - is £11.50 - Order before Friday 3pm.
- UK Sunday Delivery - is £11.50 - Order before Friday 3pm. We do not have a weekend collection so orders placed on Saturday for Sunday will be for the following Sunday.
- UK Non-Mainland Delivery is £3.95 under £50, or £8.50 on orders over £50 this is due to higher cost of shipping
- Smaller items are posted with Royal Mail and usually take 1-4 days from the point of order to arrive during normal levels of activity.
- *Some products must be shipped via DPD courier due to delivery restrictions, these are marked on our website as Courier or Free Click & Collect eg long items over 62cm, heavy items over 5kg and air canisters.
- Large, heavy or multiple items are delivered by DPD (signature required)
- A DPD Next Day Delivery service is available to the majority of mainland UK at a cost of £5.95 Monday to Thursday. Orders must be placed before 3pm (Monday - Thursday) to qualify. Orders placed after 3pm on DPD Next Day will be dispatched the following day. Orders placed after Friday 3pm and over the weekend will be dispatched on Monday. We do not get collections from DPD or Royal Mail on Bank Holidays. Our courier does not deliver on Bank Holidays.
- Saturday and Sunday named day delivery is £11.50 and available to most UK Mainland postcodes (excludes Highlands and Islands). Orders must be placed before 3pm on Friday, please note our courier does not collect from us at the weekend so orders must also be placed by 3pm on Friday.
- Postcodes ineligible for Next Day/Saturday Delivery – All Northern Ireland and Channel Islands, AB31-56, EI, F17-21, G83, GY9, HS1-9, IM, IV, KA27-28, KW0-17, PA20-78, PH15-99, TR21-25, ZE.
International Orders
- Standard Europe delivery is £9.50.
- Standard Worldwide delivery is £25.00 - please note there may be additional charges depending on the size and weight of your parcel and the location of delivery.
- Standard delivery prices for overseas orders are estimates only and in exceptional circumstances, we may not be able to fulfil your order for the quoted price, if this is the case you will be contacted by email
