Where To Measure

Chest: Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of the chest

Waist: Hold your waist and bend to the side, to find the smallest part of your torso. This is your natural waist

Hips: Stand with your feet together & measure the fullest part of your hips

Inseam: Measure along the inside of the leg, from just below the crotch to the centre of your ankle bone

Waterproof

Found in their coats and jackets, Holland Cooper produce a number of waterproof styles that use waterproof fabric, taped seams and waterproof zips to ensure that the piece is suitable to be used in moderate to heavy rain without leaking or the rain soaking through.

The majority of Holland Cooper pieces are waterproof to 10,000mm - which will withstand most downpours but may soak through over time if subjected to pressure such as kneeling or sitting down and breathable to 10,000g/m2 which is suitable for most activities however in hard work situations such as or in heavy perspiration conditions it may not be able to cope with the amount of evaporation required and may get clammy.

Taped seams

As part of waterproofing their coat and jackets Holland Cooper use taped seams. Taped seams are the process by which the needle holes that are made in the fabric during the make-up process are covered by melting tape over the seam to seal the holes.

Showerproof

The fabric used to make the piece is water-resistant however this is at a lower level than a fully waterproof piece and does not have sealed seams. Most showerproof pieces are fine for light rain and intermittent showers however in moderate, heavy or persistent rain they may leak or soak through.

Storm Cuffs

Holland Cooper uses storm cuffs on the majority of their waterproof coats. Storm cuffs sit inside the sleeve of the jacket and are usually a ribbed material such as those on sweatshirts to help keep more warmth inside the jacket and to help stop water running up your arms.

Sorona Fill

As an alternative to down, Holland Copper use Sorona eco fill by Du Pont, a synthetic insulation that offers warmth and breathability to give a high level of performance and sustainability. Used widely within the Holland Cooper range, especially in their coats and jackets.

Hydrocool Thermal Regulation

Hydrocool® technology to support thermal regulation. Internally brushed fabric is used to create a fast-wicking, moisture management system that is quick-drying and breathable for comfort. Used primarily on base layers and active wear.

Quick Dry & Breathability

Fast-wicking, moisture management system that is quick-drying and breathable. Holland Cooper use these fabrics on the majority of their active wear pieces for comfort and performance.

Soft Touch Fabric

Smooth, soft-touch fabric to help overgarments glide on easily. Much of the Holland Cooper range of clothing uses soft-touch fabric for a touch of luxury in what you wear and whatever you are doing.

Four-way Power stretch fabrication

Four-way power stretch fabrication that provides comfort and security. Holland Cooper uses power stretch fabric that not only provides comfort but also retains its shape in some of their activewear including base layers.

Packable

Holland Cooper know that space is at a premium especially on days out and while on holiday so some of their jacket can be packed away into a small bag to save space.

Comfort Stretch Fabric

Mainly found on activewear such as base layers comfort stretch fabric has a small amount of elastane within the fabric blend to offer stretch to prevent the clothing from restricting movement yet still retains shape.

Interior Leg Strap For Riding

The longer styles of Holland Cooper Riding Coats feature Leg Straps to help keep the coat covering the areas that it is intended such as the upper legs while you are in the saddle, it is also useful on the ground to help stop the coat swinging too much and interfering with your day.

Lightweight fabric

Holland Cooper tries to make their apparel as practical as possible as part of this lightweight fabric and construction methods are used. Usually seen in their Spring Summer seasonal collection but also in some of their winter coats and jackets.

Comply with Dressage & Showjumping Regulations

It is important to make sure any breeches or competition attire you buy is compliant with the rules of the competitions you enter, most regulations refer to colour with only specific colours acceptable such as white or beige.

There are also rules about the size and placement of logos and advertisements of brands which is why on their competition breeches the Holland Cooper writing is seen on their Riding Tights and Training breeches is removed.

Teflon Coating Waterproof & Anti-stain Protection

Holland Cooper use a Teflon coating on some of their breeches to help you stay cleaner for longer.

Super High Build HC Monogram Grip Print

Holland Cooper uses a high built silicone grip in a patterned shape, some even use the Holland Cooper HC branding as the pattern, on some of their breeches to help reduce slipping and provide more security on the saddle.

Holland Cooper Metal Hardware

As part of their branding on some Holland Cooper pieces Holland Cooper Metal Hardware such as buttons on the sleeves and at the shoulder.

Holland Cooper Graphics

Holland Cooper uses many graphics, especially on their team collection and equestrian outerwear. Each collection has a different set of graphics from the colour and size of the badge to the colour and placement of the graphics. Some of these differences are subtle, some are very easy to pick up.

High Build Embroidery

As part of the Holland Cooper branding especially on the collars of jackets, gilets and coats usually on the non-waterproof piece, high build embroidery is part of the Holland Cooper branding.
